Operations Assistant 

Seasonal Position - Potential to lead to a Full-Time Role

About the Role: As a Production Assistant, you'll be instrumental in maintaining our exceptional product standards through garment finishing and quality assurance processes.

Location: Ancoats, Manchester - 10 minutes walk from Picadilly station. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed garment inspections  
  • Thread trimming and pressing of garments using automated tools
  • Swing tagging, packaging and barcoding items ready for shipping.
  • Flexibility to step in where needed to uphold the quality of our products.
  • Close integration with both the production, design and operations teams.

What We're Looking For:

  • Enjoy hands-on work and getting into a flow
  • Sharp eye for detail and commitment to quality excellence
  • Experience in fast-paced environments (hospitality background is a plus)
  • Basic computer literacy for inventory systems
  • Strong time management skills with ability to meet daily targets
  • Excellent team player with clear communication abilities
  • Physical capability to lift and handle items as required and standing for extended periods

Working Hours:

  • Flexible 4-hour shifts available
  • Minimum 8 hours per week
  • Choice of morning, afternoon, or evening shifts

    Role and Responsibilities: As a Sewing Machinist and Production Assistant, you will be an integral part of our creative process, contributing to various stages of production. Your responsibilities will encompass:

    • Overlocking: Skillfully operate overlocking machines to achieve seamless and polished edges, ensuring the highest level of finishing for our garments.

    • Industrial Sewing: Utilize industrial sewing machines to assemble, sew, and construct various fabric pieces, bringing our design concepts to life with precision.

    • Pattern Cutting: Collaborate with our design team by assisting in pattern cutting, ensuring accurate and well-fitting templates for garment construction.

    • Production Assistance: Contribute to the production process by organizing materials, assisting in fabric preparation, and supporting the overall workflow of our studio.

    • Quality Control: Participate in quality control assessments to guarantee that each garment meets our exacting standards.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven expertise in overlocking, industrial sewing, and pattern cutting.
    • Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and other relevant equipment.
    • Strong understanding of fabrics, sewing techniques, and garment construction.
