Introducing 2 new jackets for the season; the Trail Jacket and the Pollard Jacket…
The new Pollard Jacket has taken its name from a place close to our heart. Similar in fit to our bestselling Jenson, but with new features and a modern silhouette. This relaxed-fit jacket with twin chest pockets is a seasonal staple for the town and country alike. It's medium-weight waxed organic cotton outer makes it comfortable to wear and offers robust weather protection. Light enough to be folded away but tough enough for getting around in your day-to-day. Herringbone tape is used on the hood and shock drawstring for the hem to pull it altogether. This versatile piece comes in khaki, natural and grey.
Our new Trail Jacket takes inspiration from our previous seasons Utility Vest and has got interesting details up the wazoo. Including two dual entry pockets primed for secure snack storage, engineered sleeve silhouette for wider range of motion to reach for said snacks & recycled YKK zippers to pull it altogether. Fabric wise, it’s been made out of some crisp organic dry wax ripstop stuff that reminds us of the golden years of hiking. This allows it to put up with a whole lot of stick for years to come. It sits at a medium weight and works perfectly when strolling about in the hills or for when it's getting a bit nippy later on in those spring & summer evenings. Available from April in bark and black.
Both jackets are cut and made in the UK using dry waxed organic cotton fabric sourced from Halley Stevensons in Dundee. They can be regularly reproofed to maintain performance for many years. The petroleum jelly and paraffin waxes Halley Stevensons use on our fabrics are bi-products from cracking crude oil to make fuels such as gasoline, meaning they make use of the waste product of this process. The processes used to apply the waxes to a cotton fabric are also low impact, meaning less damage is done to the environment with the waxes also being fully biodegradable.
